Competition is No Match for True Temper at Accenture
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Golf shafts designed and manufactured by True Temper locked up a victory at the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship on the PGA Tour after dominating the semi-final round on Sunday.
This year’s champion trusted True Temper shafts in his irons and won the World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship for the second time in four years. All four players in the Accenture Match Play semi-finals played True Temper shafts, including the highly acclaimed Project X and Dynamic Gold, the No. 1 shaft in the world.
“The World Golf Championships-Accenture Match Play Championship offers a different format for players, so it’s always an entertaining event and we are excited to have True Temper shafts play such a significant role,” says Scott Hennessy, president and CEO of True Temper Sports.
“Any given week on the Tour, True Temper has more shafts in play than all other shaft companies combined. Our continued string of victories in tournaments around the world is a solid example as to why so many of the world’s top golfers play True Temper shafts.”
True Temper’s product line includes Dynamic Gold which features a high-flex, tour weight design preferred by better players who want a low, penetrating ball trajectory. The Project X shaft is another True Temper brand which is highly prized on Tour for providing a dedicated constant taper rate per inch for each shaft in the set. The longer taper rate more efficiently transfers energy to the ball and the ball gets up faster and flattens out for a penetrating trajectory. Dynamic Gold shafts are available in tapered and parallel irons and parallel woods, while Project X steel shafts are available in tapered and parallel irons.
