Project X Cashes In at Deutsche Bank
MEMPHIS, Tenn. — On Monday, Project X shafts scored a dramatic finish at the Deutsche Bank Championship in Norton, Mass. The win marked the 36th PGA Tour season victory for True Temper shafts and helped this weekend’s champion cash in on a $1.35 million pay day, placing him in the lead of the FedEx Cup race.
Playing Project X steel shafts in his irons, the Deutsche Bank champion fired a birdie-birdie finish on Monday to score a 17-under 267, vaulting him to a career-high No. 2 position in the Official World Golf Ranking. In addition to the win, nine of the top ten players at the Deutsche Bank Championship had True Temper shafts in their bags this weekend.
